Seattle with Cousin Alicia

Well after taking my first two photos my camera totally died. So I did the untinkable... I used a disposable camera for the first few photos but Alicia is having them developed and put on a disk so I will see them soon enough. I do have photos from Day 2. We had fun running around, seeing Jimi Hendrix Memorial, a Mariners game, food, friends, drink, etc...

Sunday's to Relax

This is my third weekend in a row that has been full of plans and it looks like the next three will be as well. So when Sunday comes to a close I hope, like me, you find yourself resting, maybe listening to a little Digable Planets, maybe lying in the grass...

Driving Home

I was driving home from San Marcos Monday morning and it was the most beautiful drive. As I drove in and out of the scattered shadows the clouds created on the ground I realized how beautiful it must have been to cross South Texas after tons of rain of which we have had in Texas lately. I felt lucky to be driving on that morning, everything was green and lush. Natural grasses long and lean created patterns as the wind blew across their untamed blades. Trees hung heavy with the weight of leaves. Water sat stagnant in the ditches along the railroad tracks and to my surprise they were filled with purple water lilies in full bloom. I have never noticed water lilies and it is probably because the lack of rain, but they were beautiful and I stopped to take photos. I am not sure if these pictures represent what I saw that day driving through the King Ranch and Yturria but I hope you enjoy them all the same.
