Sunday

It has been months since I wrote anything meaningful on this here blog. Alaska came and went without the addition of photos. I was wonderful, beautiful, breathtaking, but don't tell anyone I told you. Alaskans want it to be a secret or so a few of them told me. Everything is bigger in Alaska for those of you that didn't know. I saw eagles, bears, seals, salmon, icebergs, glaciers, pristine wilderness, mountains, hills, valley, fjords, took a ride on a float plane, a tram up a hill, ate fresh blueberries, laughed, drank, and water colored in the park. We had a wonderful time, the people I met along the way were hospitable and so very salt of the earth.

A couple of weeks ago i went to the Bahamas with my cousin Katie and Bobby to look at the venues for their pending nuptials in march. We had a blast... I can't wait to be in the wedding.

I am heading to Hawaii to visit Linda and Darren White for my 35th birthday and that means I will hit my 50th state by the time I turn 35... I think it is time to explore more of Central and South America... I am talking with a friend about planning a trip to Bolivia and Peru next summer. There is something about Hispanic culture that make me feel so at home when I travel.

I have been riding my bike a lot lately. It is a wonderful Red cruiser with aluminum rims, I once again taught myself how to balance and not use my hands... I put on headphones and ride around the neighborhood... I feel free, alive, at peace. I have been taking private yoga lessons and have met an instructor that I really like, she takes the time to work with me and on my weaknesses. I play tennis twice a week with  my sister. I find pleasure in the simple things and have been working on fixing up my house. I have met some new wonderful people and reconnected with friends of all ages. In the time since I last spoke with many of you I have been to weddings (Mia & Josh and Mark & Erin), seen friends and family get engaged (Kat & Burke, Katie & Bobby and Leslie & Larry), birthday celebrations have passed (Paige, Charles, Josh, Sebastian, Geoff, Lenzie, Stevie T., Marigel, etc...). It has been almost two years since I moved back to the Valley and it seems to be agreeing with me now more than ever. My grandmother and I have kept up our tradition of Wednesday lunches at the New York Deli, but I might try to convince her to take it to other parts of the valley soon, mix things up a bit. I have been considering getting involved in more extra curricular activities and playing league tennis again. It doesn't take much but it does take commitment. Chico is growing, thank goodness...

I bought a new camera, and hopefully I will start putting up more photos once again... until then I hope this finds you well...
