Chicago Airport

Lenzie and I missed our flight, not sure how it happened since we arrived early but it hapenned.

I am listening to Ray LaMontagne, this was the CD that Nick was playinng when he first picked us up from the Airport last Thursday. Lenzie and I liked it so much we downloaded it off of iTunes in our hotel so that we could have it to listen to during our stay. I am in love with the lyrical dance he creates with his sadness and brilliantly haunting voice, his songs seem intertwined with delusions of love and romance, whether real, imagined or simple bygones from his youth, it seems to me that it hits close to home. What he could have but doesn't, what he did have but lost, what he still has but questions. I think I heard him before, his song used in a movie.

We had a really good time and the goat finally got to travel again. I had to fire my first employee this last week. I don't think I even said you are fired or we are going to have to let you go, all I said was we need you to turn in your keys immediatly. I then sat down on Whacker Ave and drank my diet coke. My eyes welled up with tears. That moment was the tip of the iceberb to the emotions I had been going through. The previous week had not been easy and I was expecting Chicago to be a nice reprieve. However, the night before had been no piece of cake either. We ended up staying one more night at Nicks but woke up early enough to get out before we had to rehash the previous nights events. We headed down to our hotel, they were very accomodating and let us check into our room at 7:30 in the morning.

Lenzie just showed me a quote...........

I think of life itself, now as a wonderful play that I've written for myself... And so my purpose is to have the most fun playinng myself. - Shirley Maclain
